Grand Prize Winner

Alena Hisamova, Russia

Title: Frogs On A Stick

“My name is Alena, I am 16 years old and I draw frogs. My painting is called “frogs on a stick”, I painted it in watercolors, for me it is a favorite material, it helps to convey the liveliness of the work. Frogs at my work are like living things, and all living things need to be protected. This is what I wanted to convey with my work.”

Thanks To The Judges!

Thank you to SAVE THE FROGS! Art Contest Judges, who looked at every piece of submitted art!

All art gets reviewed without knowledge of the artists’ country, gender, age, name, school or any other identifying information. We long ago abandoned using age categories for judging because we realized that frog artists of all ages can create amazing art.

Special Thanks To International Student Art in China!

SAVE THE FROGS! sends its appreciation to the students and teachers of International Student Art, for their school’s participation (78 students submitted art) and for donating $390 to SAVE THE FROGS!. Read on to learn about the school and how they are promoting amphibian awareness in China.

ISA (International Student Art) is an international art exchange platform established by Yibangda Aesthetic Education Alliance in 2016.

It is committed to:

  • Promoting China’s aesthetic education from 4 to 22 years old, from early childhood to university;
  • Promoting Chinese students to be more open, and more international perspective, to experience the world’s best art and culture;
  • Assisting outstanding Chinese students to participate in the international student art competition, and
  • Providing a more comprehensive and better aesthetic education for future development.

Since 2020, ISA has formed a close cooperative relationship with the SAVE THE FROGS! Art Contest. Both parties have the same values and actions in aesthetic education and nature protection. We jointly issued an initiative to Chinese children to encourage them to actively participate in the SAVE THE FROGS! Art Contest, to care for the environment and save the frogs. Our actions have received enthusiastic responses from many alliance art institutions and Chinese students. In order to protect the frogs, our children not only submitted carefully created works, but also gave their love to SAVE THE FROGS! through donations!

In 2021, Ms. Wang Min, the Executive Director of ISA, was awarded the honorary title of Chinese Promotion Master by the United States SAVE THE FROGS! Art Contest organizing committee! We hope that in future cooperation, more children will participate and contribute their talents and strength to the protection of frogs.

Thanks To ALL The Contestants!

Thank you to everyone who participated. We are happy to have you as part of the SAVE THE FROGS! Worldwide Community and encourage you to take part again in the future and of course to spread the word about the contest!

Thanks To Our Past & Future Donors!

Your donations make this contest and our array of other amphibian conservation and education efforts possible!

A Word From The Grand Prize Winner

“My name is Julienne Zhao, I’m 16 years old and I’m currently a student. My inspiration for art has always been nature; I love depicting animals in scenery. I feel like we often forget or miss the beauty around us because we’re so occupied with what’s ahead. Events such as a simple sunrise or the frost on blades of grass in early morning brings me a feeling of serenity and peace that I attempt to share with others through art.
