Ecotour Favorites…

“My favorite things about our trip, in no specific order:
▪︎ Carlos’ guiding skill; encyclopedic knowledge of Costa Rican history & wildlife; quick wit & sense of humor; attentiveness & service.
▪︎ Kerry’s bus talks also with levity while still relaying frog facts. Your interactive & comedic style kept things light & fun while still being informative.
▪︎ Jose was marvelous & did a superb job of driving & tried really hard to integrate with the group & be interactive & engage with us. BRAVO!!
▪︎ The chocolate tour. The presenter was charming & energetic & made what could have been pretty dry material fun & enjoyable.
▪︎ The bat misting presentation & presenter who was charming & interesting & the excellent slides he had running in the background.
▪︎ Both river boat rides…the one where the caiman munched the unfortunate iguana & out on the Tarcoles. It’s exhilarating & exciting to skim by wildlife on the water.
▪︎ The visit to the Tarcoles bridge ~ nothing compares to seeing crocodilian dinosaurs from above & watching the giants glide through the water. Always thrilling!!
▪︎ All the accommodations were opulent & wonderful. I was delighted they were all so fancy as I had expected more rustic lodging but if STF! was able to secure such high-end properties for such a reasonable tour fee then kudos for applying to all those fine places!”

Fortuna & Arenal Volcano Area

We headed up to Fortuna and Arenal, Costa Rica’s most famous volcano…

“My favorite thing about our trip was our awesome guides! Carlos was amazing as head guide, and Hector was fantastic on frog nights as well as with wildlife in general. I appreciated not only their knowledge but also the light-hearted and fun attitude that they both had. I also really loved the way our group gelled together. Such interesting and passionate fellow travelers made the trip a joy. I really enjoyed each place we went. I can’t think of anything I would change. Thanks for the great trip and for the incredible work that STF! Is doing. I really enjoyed learning more about the details and extent of the work. I feel inspired!”
